We are so excited to offer these BEAUTIFUL encautic prints. Encaustic prints are photographs that are printed on watercolor paper. Then mounted on to a wood box, and detailed with bees wax and oil paints making each piece a work of art! These organic beautiful images will amaze you. The Process
The mounted photograph is sealed under multiple layers of natural beeswax mixed with hardening resin. The beeswax and resin blend together to provide a translucent, temperature stable layer that will intensify contrasts while providing a slightly impressionistic presentation. Oil paint accents and or small thin objects like flowers can be encased within the layers of wax.
You can't help but feel the warmth and happiness in each image. Breathtaking, indeed.
